| Summary: Reports on a study looking at the effects of psychological abuse in childhood in a sample of undergraduate students in romantic relationships. Found that in general participants who were more severely maltreated had more extreme insecure attachment styles characterized by fear and lack of trust in others, with difficulties in identifying and expressing emotions and emotional dysregulation and inhibition. |
